Prep Time:10 mins
Method
- Cut the pumpkin in half, peel and de-seed it
- Use a sharp knife to cut circular pieces from the pumpkins for ‘faces’. Aim to get about 8 faces from the pumpkin
- Carefully make holes for the eyes, nose and mouth, using the knife and an apple corer - children should ask an adult for help to do this
- Lay the ‘faces’ in greased shallow roasting tins and sprinkle with the sugar, butter, orange juice and cinnamon
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C / 350°F / Gas Mark 4 for 30 minutes, basting halfway through cooking
- Carefully transfer each pumpkin ‘face’ to a plate and allow to cool
- Arrange a few pieces of liquorice ‘bootlace’ around the top to resemble hair
